Barrios in Town

I have had that written down in my calendar for about a month now. We were so excited to have them come visit and especially to see how Marielle and Lacy got along. It was a short visit, but we managed to squeeze in as much fun as possible. The highlights include, but are not limited to, watching the girls play at the park, breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen, DISNEYLAND!

Marielle sure is a cutie! She is quite petite, so everything she does--which is totally appropriate for her age--is just doubley cute because of her size. She's feisty--just like Lacy. And she's really smart. It was fun to watch the girls. They didn't really play together all that much; but they played side-by-side really well. It was the first time they've ever played together really--and Lacy was being territorial with her things and poor Marielle was just out of her element at our house. But Lacy loves having grown-ups pay attention to her so she actually grew quite attached to my cousin Vivian and her husband Marc.

Here's a few pictures:

Disneyland Canoes

We've been trying to get over to the canoes at Disneyland to see cousin Kortney at work for the last month. Well, we finally made it--and it was SO worth it. Because I had Anjali in the baby carrier, I didn't have to row (WOOHOO!) and Lacy had a blast too. Cliff was unable to row also, seeing as how he made sure Lacy didn't fall out of the canoe. But it was fun. Kortney was awesome. We will be sure to do it again soon!

Dinner with friends

Cliff's best friend growing up, Luis, and his family recently moved back to California. YAY! We had them over for dinner the other day and our girls (Lacy and Isabella) just hit it off. I've never heard so much giggling and fun happy sounds come from my little Lacy without an adult tickling or teasing her. It was awesome. Hopefully they will be best friends too, just like their daddies!

It was REALLY nice that the girls were able to entertain themselves--so us grown-ups got to catch up and play games late into the night.

Here's a cute video of the two of them dancing. You can't hear the music, but its coming from that tiny toy music player on the floor.

Once Again...

I am reminded that I waste hundreds of dollars on toys for Lacy. Here's Lacy having tons of fun playing telephone with an empty roll of wrapping paper :)
