She loves her books...

Lacy has always loved her books. This passion of hers has evolved over the last 9 months in stages--like so: She first enjoyed the thrill of pulling all of her books off her shelf and throwing them on the floor. Then she realized that she had a pile of books on the floor, and she started opening the books while on the floor to look at the pictures and babble (most times they were upside down). Next she would carry books around the house with her and read them in front of us, babbling and making animal sounds. But the other night, Lacy snuck off into her room and we discovered that she had climbed into her rocking chair with a book (like she does with Daddy every night before she goes to bed). She's a smart little cookie!

More vacation

My cousin and her family came to California for the weekend, so we got to do lots of fun stuff around town with them. We walked around downtown disney, checked out the beach down in Laguna (even though it started raining!), and got to eat yummy Chinese food in K-town. It was lots of fun and the two kiddos played really well with each other too! (Lacy is 14 months and Marielle is 11 months)

Then our little Lacy was so exhausted from her exciting weekend, she fell asleep in mama's arms on the way home (which she NEVER does).

And as luck would have it, it didn't snow until the morning we had to leave to come home. But Lacy saw the snow and got so excited she ran into the middle of the street and babbled and talked and pointed and was telling us all about it.

Then one night Lacy was having so much fun, she didn't want to go to bed. So she wrestled out of dad's arms in the dark while they were sitting in the rocking chair and she gave herself a nice shiner (she hit the arm of the rocking chair).

She felt right at home with Uncle John and Aunt Char (& Dennis and Ashley too!). She made faces, babbled, hung out on the stairs, and went into every room in their house to find things she could play with. But they all still loved her!

Then Lacy drove us to the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City where she pretended to be our tour guide and showed us a big wooden elephant, some giraffes, and a baby orangutan and her mama and a bunch of other cool animals.

We met up with family and had dinner at Temple Square.

Our Utah Trip...

First, Lacy decided to help us pack a few things that we probably would have otherwise forgotten (because we didn't need them)--while also pulling out a couple of things (that we did need).

Basketball Belly

Lacy loves to walk around with a basketball under her shirt. We did it once to tease her, but she really liked it. What a weird kid!

Little Trouble Maker

She's into everything. Walking, climbing, and running. Nothing is safe anymore!

Bathtime Fun

Just trying out new 'dos.

Collecting Little People

Lacy received a couple of Little People sets as Christmas gifts. We were so excited (probably more than Lacy) so we started shopping around for a few more sets. Now we have a Little People corner in the living room and I bet soon we're going to need a Little People room.

Some New Videos

There's two new videos at http://freemediapost.com/galleries/Lacy
I don't think they will work on Windows Media Player. Try playing them in Quicktime.
