Quick Trip to SD

My mom was on a business trip in San Diego for the week, so the girls and I snuck down and stayed with her for one night. It was fun to get away. I love staying in nice hotel rooms and San Diego is SO pretty. We played at the park before dinner.

This was Anjali's first time playing in sand. She was very curious.

Easter in Big Bear

We spent Easter weekend in Big Bear with Grandpa Clinton. Lacy loves playing with Grandpa Clinton. The bossy little lady takes over the house when we visit too! Here's some pictures of Easter morning.

And here's the "photoshoot" of the girls in the Easter Dresses--without much success. I sewed Anjali's dress myself (YAY for me!) to match Lacy's. Lacy's we bought from Luan's in Long Beach.

And Lacy was holding a flower and would not look up at the camera--sometimes she's so frustrating;)

Carlsbad Flower Fields

We made a trip down to the Carlsbad Flower Fields. Lacy really enjoyed it and thought she was like Alice from Alice in Wonderland when she sings to all of the flowers. We took the tractor ride around the fields and stopped at the top to take some cute pictures. I thought it would be the perfect background for some pictures of the girls, but Lacy's going through the fake smile phase. "Say cheese, Lacy!" And then comes the fake smile and she usually doesn't look up either. But they're still pretty darn cute!

Trip to Monterey

Way back when, March 23rd-ish, we drove up to visit my sister, Rebekah, at the Presidio of Monterey where she's studying at the Defense Language Institute. Noah was in town for spring break too, so we all packed into a rented minivan with my folks and headed to Monterey. The drive was about 5-6 hours. We stopped for gas about half way--the gas station we pulled into happened to have a little McDonalds attached to it. Lacy saw the yellow archway and threw her two little fists in the air and yelled "MCDONALDS!" What a goober. Both girls did really well on the road. It was nice to have my mom in the back seat to give Anjali a bottle when neccessary. Thank goodness for DVD players--Lacy was a great traveler as long as she could watch "Cinderella Tree" or any other movie we brought along for that matter.

Rebekah looked fantastic. Not only is she in great physical shape, she seems to have adapted very well to military life--ranking near the top of her Chinese class. Rebekah also taught Lacy to say hi in Chinese. (Check video.)

While we were there we managed to squeeze in a visit to the Monterey Aquarium and the Winchester Mystery House. Here are some pics from the trip.

Lacy at the touching pool.

Lacy looking at Dori and friends.

Lacy touching the starfish and splashing.

Lacy holding the starfish and everybody around her freaking out, trying to tell her to put it back in the water.

My girls looking cute at the aquarium.

My girls in uniform.

We miss you Rebekah!

Irony of Family Home Evening

This is Cliff's handiwork--he thought it would be a fun little project for Family Home Evening to make our little family out of felt. The ironic part is that Cliff got so involved in making this little felt family that he ignored me and Lacy for family home evening. So I went off to work on a sewing project and Lacy went into the play room and would periodically run out and jump on top of us. Anjali was asleep. So for the most part we all ignored each other. Just one more thing for us to work on ;)

Oh..I almost forgot. Lacy was very insistent that mommy have a purse. (she's so cute!)

Discovery Center VIDEOS

Dancing with Grover

The Wind Tunnel (watch her little ponytails)

My Favorite and most Embarrassing...The Pin Wall (the video of myself was removed because it was inappropriate for children)

My Cuddler

Lacy was never a cuddly baby...so we are really enjoying our sweet Anjali. Cliff walked in on her to find that she had grabbed her toy bunny and was squeezing it tight. hehe.

And here's some pics of her first time eating baby cereal.

Discovery Science Center

We spent the day at the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana. They had "The Body by Sesame Street" and it was great fun for all. I took TOO many pictures. But here are some of my favorites.

*Lacy at Hooper's Store.

*Lacy brushing her hair with the fake hairbrush plastered to the side of the sink.

*Playing with dinosaurs.

*Time to go home.

Do My Girls Look Alike?

These pictures were taken on their "100th Day Birthday." Can you tell who's who? (Leave a comment.)
