Capitol Reef

Me and the girls took a whirlwind trip to Utah with my folks. We met a handful of aunts, uncles, and cousins at Capitol Reef to see some "Hanks History." It was beautiful. I enjoyed taking in all of the fresh air and the beautiful red rock scenery. It was hot--and I am a total wimp in the heat. (But you live in Southern Calif. you say?--I stay indoors all summer with the AC on full blast!) But we still managed to have a great time playing with family. Above are pictures of significant landmarks and petroglyphs. Below are my favorite pictures of the trip (just hanging out with family!)

Bug's Land

We went to Disneyland to try and get in one more trip before the summer madness started. It was SO HOT and still pretty crowded. So we stayed on the California Park side and did some of the small rides that we've never done. The kids are greasy looking because of all the sunblock we put on them:)

Father's Day

Unfotunately, Cliff was on-call on Father's Day. We made the best of it...we brought Cliff one of his favorite lunches and had a picnic at the park next door to the hospital. We played for over an hour and then dad had to go back to work. (Lacy likes to do her own hair...)

Biter Biscuit

Similar but different. Lacy had a rounder face. Anjali has darker hair. Lacy was a chunker. Anjali is a daintier eater. But they both are pretty darn cute!

Memorial Day BBQ

The girls and I went to Aunt Mary's house for a bbq (Cliff was at work). Lacy found the kiddie pool that they hadn't put away and quickly started splashing away. I didn't bring a swimsuit for her, so I just let her play in her diaper and tshirt. Her diaper absorbed a lot of the water making it hard for her to stand up. It hung down to her knees--and showed a little bit of crack. The pictures really don't do it justice.

It was fun. There's always good food and good company in Norwalk. Here's Lacy with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa McEldowney.

And here she is playing with Robin's grandsons. I just love how fun my little Lacy is. She gets along with and plays well with everybody--kids and grownups.

Sabrina Turns 1

Our good friends the Altamiranos had a party for their baby Sabrina, who just turned one. (This is the family that has two girls just a few months older than each of ours.) The party was lots of fun at a park in Buena Park. Here's some pics of Lacy having fun--the little girl in the green dress is her partner in crime, Isabella.

Painting Fun

Lacy's been taking a Toddler Arts and Crafts class--and she LOVES it. So here we are at home, in the garage, letting her explore different mediums.
