Chinese New Year at Disneyland

I've been able to convince Cliff to go to Disneyland the last few Friday evenings with us. It's so much more fun to have daddy with us when we go. This was our first time there since Anjali started walking and I have to say as ridiculous as I thought those kid leashes are--Anjali's the kid they're totally made for.

It was a bit crowded so we took a look at the Chinese New Year display and did the Winnie the Pooh ride twice (its never crowded). Then we got some treats--cookies and candied apples--and called it a night!

Cruise to Ensanada

Cliff had another one of his mandatory faculty retreats this weekend. This one was a cruise to Ensanada--we decided it would be a nice treat for both of us to go because 1. baby #3 was coming 2. i am always in need of a vacation 3. Cliff's ticket was paid for by the residency and my ticket would be discounted ;)

We took a 3-day Carnival Cruise. The first night Cliff's coworkers got together for some fun karaoke (aka mandatory activity). My favorite part of the evening was watching one of Cliff's attendings break dance and lose all contents on his belt and in his pockets all over the dance floor.

The next morning we were docked at Ensanada. It was small and commercialized--very touristy--but perfect for a few hours of walking around and shopping.

Sunday was the day at sea. We filled our time playing miniature golf, eating and more shopping. Cliff gifted me 2 spa treatments (a massage and facial). That was the best part!

Monday morning we came home. We left Friday morning and I started missing my girls a little Friday night and a lot on Saturday. So I was glad to be back. Here are the cute things we got while away. We are total suckers for our kids! (We even got Baby Bubba a cute embroidered shirt.)

How Quickly They Learn

One of the fun things about having a second girl is how quickly she (Anjali) picked up on the princess craze. Anjali, started pretending with dolls at about 13 months. Then soon afterwards I would hear this whining noise and at first I would rush over to make sure Lacy wasn't picking on Anjali and instead I found Anjali playing with princess dolls and the whining sound was her making them sing. What a cutie pie!

Daddy and Grandpa Time

Cliff was nice enough to let me have an all day Girls Day Out on Saturday with 2 of my friends. He took my babies up to Big Bear on Friday afternoon to visit his dad and spend the night and here are the pictures Cliff brought home.

Stomping in the Snow and getting wiggles out from the long car ride.

Visiting Grandpa Clinton while he was working.

Anjali's wicked bedhead the next morning from all of the dryness of the mountains.

Sledding and playing in the yard with Grandpa and Daddy.

Apparently, Anjali was not a real big fan of sledding, but did enjoy sitting on the bear bench. Seems to be an all around favorite in our family ;) Lacy on the other hand LOVED sledding. She couldn't get enough and even tried to pull the guys around some.

One thing I love about Cliff is how trigger happy he is when he gets a chance to take pictures of the girls. The pictures I posted are only about a third of the ones he actually took. He's a proud papa!

Here's a sledding video:

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries

I love that we can get juicy ripe strawberries in January here in sunny SoCal! We had some fun family time dipping them in chocolate and even MORE FUN eating the yummy treats!

Lacy's a Sunbeam!

Here are some cute pictures right before leaving for church. Lacy has officially graduated from nursery and attends her first Sunday school class "Sunbeams."

Also, Anjali has perfected her Frankenstein walk. LuAnn nicknamed her Frankenberry.

NO WAY!

That's what I said at my ultrasound this morning when the tech showed me this
(that inappropriate looking thing in the middle IS the inappropriate something, hehe)

It's a boy! Against all scientific methods you read about in books....baby #3 is a boy. Just goes to show, it really is a 50/50 chance!

BTW, everything looks good and we're still due June 18.

Cousin Tyler Visits

Cliff's sister, Caryn, stayed with us for two nights, while they visited with her husband's family. They did manage to squeeze in some playtime out in the patio. Here are the kids having fun.

Here's a video of Lacy being a nice sister

Holding Babies

A lazy Saturday morning watching cartoons, doing laundry, etc. Both of my babies crawled into my lap to watch some tv. We realized that they were both holding babies of their own--photo opp!

Rice---It's what's for dinner!

Fortunately, Anjali's still a really good eater. Here's the proof. And here's a really long video but had us cracking up forever. Look closely at Anjali's right nostril.

New Year's Celebration

We went to my Aunt and Uncle's house to celebrate New Year's Day. The Korean New Year is typically celebrated on the Lunar New Year (same as the Chinese New Year) but our family has adapted to the Calendar New Year because everyone is off school and in town to celebrate together. There was lots of good food and of course there was the bowing ceremony (which means cash gifts and is Cliff's favorite part ;)...fine, mine too... Here's my cutie pie girls participating.

We always close up the day with a game of Yut. It often gets a bit hostile, since we team up my family vs. my uncle's family. ANd it doesn't help that Cliff enjoys to harass and trash talk my family. But this year we won! YAY!
