Elder Hanks

My brother finished his 12 weeks at the MTC in Provo and is heading out to Seoul, Korea. We just happened to stop by for lunch at LAX the same time that he had a 2 hour layover...gee, what a coincidence!

So we treated all the Elders, plus one Sister, to their last American meal. And what's more American than McDonalds! YUM! ;)

We also lent out all of our cell phones so all the other missionaries could call their families one last time. There were 5 cell phones in constant use the whole time we were there.

Here's some pics of the happy reunion.

Want to know the secret to well-behaved children?....Bribe them with fruitsnacks!

We are so proud of you Uncle Noah. We pray for your safety and success as a missionary every night with the girls! RWH!

We are Missing Disneyland :(

Rebekah was in town for a quick weekend. We decided to entertain ourselves by going down to the carousel at the Spectrum. It was fun, but we miss Disneyland...We're asking Santa for Annual Passes.

Wes' First Solids

This is Wes' first time eating baby cereal. I mixed it with formula and he was not a fan.

So then I thought, maybe he doesn't like formula -- I'll try mixing cereal with water.

Ehh, a little better, but not quite a success.
Meanwhile, my girls are doing this.

They are fighting over who gets to touch baby. And Yes, my house is a total STY! Obviouisly, I'm still trying to get the hang of being a mother to 3.

Tub Time

We just can't get enough of our cute little man! His sisters love him and they just won't leave the poor little guy alone!

Mike Tyson?

Anjali's only defense right now is biting. What do I do? Or even better...what clever nicknames do you have for my biting toddler? Here's the most recent damage. Of course this was the day before Lacy's school picture day.

Panty Party

This may be totally inappropriate and I may decide later that I don't want these pictures on the internet but right now I think they're cute.

Walk to the Lightning Tree

Caryn and family were in town so we headed up to Big Bear for a quick day trip. The cousins played at Grandpa's house then we drove over to the old neighborhood for a walk to the lightning tree.

After a quick walk and lots of pictures we had dinner at the little family owned mexican restaurant. It was fun to see you guys!

P.S. On this day trip we also learned that Lacy gets car sick. Bring on the dramamine!

Oh Lacy!

Dear Lacy,

You send my heart on a rollercoaster ride every day. Your spunky attitude and your fun and contagious laugh are a few of my very favorite things about you. You drive me crazy when you push your sister's buttons and give me sass--but I wouldn't have you any other way!

Love,
Mom
XOXO

I'm Sorry Cliff...

But I'm in love with another man.... ;)

I don't think he'll mind. Cliff's so great like that :)

Here's my little man giggling some. He will laugh for Cliff but not me! I completely understand that though. Wes, your dad is just soo silly!

First Day of School and Daddy's SWEET Office

Lacy's first day of preschool.
This year she's in the Blue Room with Mrs. Mindy! I have a rule that Lacy's school wardrobe must consist of pants/shorts and she should wear a ponytail to school. Reasons for the rules are 1. she'll flash her panties on the playground in her dresses. 2. Her hair is always in her face and it's just too hot to be wearing her hair down.

This morning after I selected her school-appropriate outfit, Lacy whined to me "MOOOMMM. I don't want to wear those pants. They're not beautiful...I don't LOVE them!"
Hopefully with a routine and if I stick to my guns, we'll quickly overcome these morning tantrums.

The next morning obstacle will be getting Lacy to school on time. I admittedly am not a morning person. Unfortunately, I have passed this trait on to my beautiful little Lacy. Lacy loves to sleep in. And she loves to hang out in her pajamas all morning (my kind of girl!) So as I try to rush and get her ready for school she's quickly distracted by morning cartoons, daintily eating her cereal and anything else that might catch her eye. That girl moves as slow as molasses!

Another habit we've started this year is having lunch with Cliff in his office. Cliff works late Monday nights, so the kids and I have lunch with him at his office on Mondays. This way the kids get to see him, since they're in bed when he comes home. Cliff found an awesome leather sofa on craigslist and purchased some other little knick knack things to make his office really homey. All of his coworkers have commented how nice his office is. And the girls' have made themselves right at home!
