Christmas Lights

We bundled up to meet up with some friends and walk around in a local neighborhood decorated with Christmas lights. Once again, I'd like to mention, we don't do cold!

It was a fun way to get into the Christmas Spirit. The houses were blaring music. The streets were crowded with lots of spectators.
This homeowner came out with a bubble/snow machine and started spraying the kids with "snow."

Cool Birthday Present

My sister gave me a choice for my birthday present. A designer purse or the new Guitar Hero World Tour game. Cliff heard my options and persuaded me to do the video game. We LOVE IT. We stayed up way too late for days in a row playing with Rebs and her friend. Not to brag or anything, but I'm pretty awesome on vocals. I'm kind of a big deal. (KIDDING!)

One morning, Rebekah set up the kids so they could rock out to Hannah Montana.


P.S. I will have a designer purse some day---when my kids will leave my crap alone!

My Hello Kitty Party

After Lacy told us she wanted to have a Barbie party, Cliff asked her what kind of party mommy should have and she said, "a Hello Kitty party." Fortunately for me, my birthday fell on a Saturday, which meant that I got to sleep in (Thanks Cliff!) Cliff got up with the kids and they quickly threw a couple of decorations up and had me come downstairs to see what a special treat they did for me. Isn't it sooo cute?! And the best part was I got to go back to bed afterwards.
My special day consisted of lunch at Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. Going on a date with Cliff to Disneyland and going on fast rides sans kids (woohoo!--thanks mom and dad). Joining back up with the fam for dinner at PeiWei's. A few days later I went out with two of my good friends to BJ's and then had a dessert party afterwards at Laurie's house. So really if it was my choice, I would have had a "go out to eat for every meal" birthday party--which I pretty much got :) It was the best birthday EVER!

This is what happens

when the girls give Wesley too much love. We figured out that Wes is allergic to milk. We initially thought it was infant eczema but on occassion we noticed hives and difficulty breathing. The girls drink their milk cups and inevitably get it on their hands and faces--they run over to Wes and give him kisses and pat his cheeks and rub his soft face then THIS happens:
Also, if we give him milk-based formula he projectile vomits--which might explain this post.

He's very sensitive to it. The other night, my sister had a quick snack of string cheese then held him and kissed his forehead and minutes later he broke out into hives where she kissed him. So NO MILKY KISSES for WESLEY!

Lacy's Birthday Celebrations

My beautiful Lacy is 4 years old! I can't believe how quickly the time's gone! Once again, we had a handful of parties for my princess.

The first party was at granny's house. Lacy told me she wanted a Barbie party--and I had plans to make a cute barbie cake, but her birthday just crept up on me. I didn't have time to get all the right stuff together. So we improvised and made a barbie bundt cake.

I made little goodie bags for my girls and cousins Vicki and Ronnie. There was a cute little barbie notepad/marker...and Anj thought it was makeup.

T-Day 08

We did Thanksgiving in Big Bear this year. We went up a few days early and bundled up to go to the village.
We don't do cold...here are the kids all snuggly warm.



On the backside of the village there's a landscape photo gallery. We've walked by this place for years and have ALWAYS admired this picture displayed in the very front. We LOVE this picture and have dreamt of buying it.

At around $300-400, it's always been a bit out of our student budget, but we thought now that we've grown up and got a new job--maybe it's time to treat ourselves. We walked into the gallery ready to make a deal only to find that this picture is now priced at $2200. Unfortunately, we're not that grown up...

Thanksgiving was fun. We love hanging out with family. And I love a good home cooked meal. Cliff had to work Friday, so we headed home soon after dinner. We gave Lacy dramamine for both car rides (up and down the mountain). She didn't get sick, but I think she did suffer some other unusual side effects--a cross between having cotton mouth and turrets syndrome. A little weird, but I'll take that any day over cleaning up barf ;)

Daddy gets a break!

Cliff took the 3 days before Thanksgiving off--and we ran him ragged. He came with us to Lacy's school Thanksgiving party.

Lacy is old enough now that she has her own pass. She's SO proud!
