The 1:3 Ratio

My first day alone with the kids...was not that bad.

I was afraid to leave the girls alone and unsupervised with the baby while I took a shower, but I eventually braved it. Lacy is really good about popping Wes' pacifier back in his mouth. But what I LOVE is when I finished my shower and checked on the baby (I could hear him crying during my shower) he had cried himself to sleep, but Lacy tried to comfort him by putting all of her stuff animal dogs in his cradle.

Around 4pm, when the girls woke from their naps, I started the countdown for Cliff to come home. Our AC decided to die on us yesterday evening. Not so fun when you're stuck at home with a newborn and two toddlers and its a still and miserable 80 something degrees in the house. (I know I'm a total wimp in the heat.) While waiting for Cliff to get home from work, the girls and I had popsicles out on the patio. Wesley hung out in his chair with us too--since it was cooler outside than it was inside. But don't worry he didn't get a popsicle.

Ahh--the simple pleasures of summer.
