Lunar New Year

We celebrated the New Year about a week early because Rebekah was in town. It's become a tradition now to go to my Uncle's house for yummy food (dukgook), a bowing ceremony, and a couple games (yootnoley). Then the losers treat the winners to ice cream--Pinkberry, mmm, yummmm.

There were 4 generations present. This is the first year that my kids' were able and aware enough to bow to me and Cliff. It was pretty cool to think that I've created the newest/youngest generation in our family (of course Marc and Viv have done their part too;). I don't feel old, yet! but I think established is the word I'm looking for. Now for the pictures:

Cliff, me, Rebekah (3rd gen bowing to 1st gen)**look at Cliff's face, he's thinking "cha-ching!"**

us again (3rd generation bowing to 2nd gen)**i like my girls on the left looking on**

my kids after bowing to my parents and earning their keep

my kids (4th gen bowing to 2nd gen)

my kids, with a little bit of assistance, bowing to me and Cliff (4th gen bowing to 3rd gen)

Random shots.

I don't know why we don't celebrate the Lunar New Year. It always looks like so much fun! I think having your children learn to bow down to you is a good thing.
