The kids got to trick or treat at a church party on Friday the 29th and then at the Villa Park shopping center on the 30th. We had more than enough candy so we stayed at home and handed out candy on the actual 31st. My mom was in town for the weekend. They came over on Sunday to watch the older girls participate in a church primary program. We had dinner at home and my dad once again thought to broaden the kid's horizons this time watching "Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy"

Halloween 2010
Here we are at the Villa Park Halloween Party. I like having coordinating costumes for both me and Cliff. So if you couldn't tell, Mila is Cinderella and I'm her fairy godmother (from Disney's cinderella) and Wes is the cow and Cliff's the cowboy. Get it?!?! Anjali is Rapunzel and Lacy is a bride.

Preschool Halloween Parade
The Costume Back Story: When Anjali told me she wanted to be Rapunzel from the new Disney movie, I looked at the price tag for the costume and tried to talk her out of it. But then we looked at the costume accessories and saw the hair piece with the long long braid and Cliff and I both were suckered in and decided we'd pay the big bucks!

Mila was dressed as my little jack-o-lantern...she's so cute!
Class picture.
Now remember when I told you that the costume was expensive but I gave in? After wearing her dress for a whole 20 minutes she told me she wanted to take it off because it was itchy. Grrrr! That's why she's in her school clothes for the party pictures.
Wes is such a big boy!
Now for the best part...this is a terrible home video of the parade but I'd like you to pay attention to the lady in the 20's flapper costume....she's in the right side of the picture starting about 12 seconds in. That's the preschool director and Minister to Children. The preschool has rules about Halloween costumes--one of which was no witch costumes allowed. So if you see the girl 3 over from Anjali in the mickey mouse ears/candy corn head band--she was not allowed to wear her costume because she was a witch so her mom just threw this together instead. It just doesn't seem right, don't you think?
