Our 4th

We went to a BBQ at Mary's. We ate some grub.

Wesley crawled around and got really dirty. REALLY. DIRTY.

I got a flat tire. (This happens to me several times a year. I have the worst luck!)

We ate cake that the girls (and Cliff) decorated.

We lit fireworks.

We watched fireworks.

Anj was scared.

Lacy just wanted to color. (by flashlight no less)

Wes was cute and snuggly!

Thankful

I am thankful for family (grandpa Clinton this time) that come and play with my kids so I can have a break. Here's grandpa and daddy playing some "Elefun" with the girls.

Sneaky Mom

I made a little fruit platter to take to a baby shower this morning. The girls thought it looked so fun and asked if they could make some fruit kabobs for themselves. Ok. Twist my arm.
Bwahaha! I feel so sneaky.

Let's give soccer a try...

I thought I'd take the laid back summer season to test out soccer and see how Lacy took to it. So far she's pretty pumped. I told her that she can run super fast in her soccer shoes/clothes. I think she REALLY likes getting dressed up for soccer. (That's the princess in her!) These are pictures from her first day. She's so cute!

First Time

We are creatures of habit. When we go to Disneyland, we usually hit up Smallworld and Winnie the Pooh. (The kids are not scared of these rides and the lines are manageable.) Then we shop or watch parades, etc. Anything else is a bonus. And this is sufficient Disneyland Magic for the kids.

Cliff had the day off, so we left our comfort zones and visited the "Redwood Creek Challenge Trail" and "Pixie Hollow" for the first time. Good times!

A Bunch of Boozehounds

Cousin Kortney turned 21! She throws quite the party--a Tikki-Bar party complete with mocktails. Cliff was designated to be the bartender--but I think it got to his head...

The girls enjoyed chocolate milk shots and were taught how to 'chug' electric blue kool-aid.

Wes, we decided, was going to be the guy who uses the cheesy pick-up lines.

So here are some cheesy pick-up lines courtesy of Wesley.

*Girl, you gotta be tired coz you been runnin through my mind all day.

*Hey baby, you must be a light switch, coz every time I see you, you turn me on!

*
If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me?

*
Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I walk by again?

*
Hi, I'm Mr. Right. Someone said you were looking for me.

*
Pardon me miss, I seem to have lost my phone number, could I borrow yours?

*Are you form Tennessee? Cause you're the only ten I see!!!

*
Hey beautiful...that is your name right?

*If you were a booger I'd pick you first.

*Guy: Can I borrow a quarter?

Girl: What for?

Guy: I want to call my mom and tell her I just met the girl of my dreams

*Do you like to bake? (Yes.) I’d love to feel your hot-cross buns.

*Your name must be Lucky Charms because you’re magically delicious!

Cliff and his bro-in-law came across something similar to this a few years back. Call this number for a good chuckle ;) 310-735-0099
