Rebekah graduated from the DLI (Defense Language Institute) at the Presidio of Monterey. We made a quick road trip to see her graduate and bring her home. On the way up, we stopped in Solvang to stretch our legs and have some lunch.
Early Wednesday morning, we attended Rebekah's graduation. She looks really pretty in her uniform, especially considering how unflattering it is. Not only did Rebekah graduate from the DLI for Chinese, she also fulfilled some extra requirements to obtain an Associates degree. We are so proud of her!

While Rebekah and her friend packed up her belongings, we took the kids to feed some geese. After we got out of the car, they started heading towards us, like they knew we were going to feed them. Look at the pictures in order. It was insane--and I'm not an animal person so I stayed far away and worried for my little girls. Anjali got nipped by one and she had enough. Lacy stayed out with Cliff and Noah to help feed them the rest of the bread, but she stayed very close to the guys. Noah even started doing some karate chop action to shoo away the geese. Bet you didn't know they hiss when they're angry.

Here they are dispersing after we ran out of bread. We then played at the little playground for a short time before we headed back to the hotel. Another problem with having a lot of geese at the park were really big turds all over...so gross!

It was nice to get out of town for a couple of days. The drive to Monterey was a sort of test run for us to see how the kids would do on our trip to Utah/Colorado. The kids were great in the car, but it did take us a few hours longer for stops to feed and use the restroom. I was the only one complaining (I hate road trips!)
A few more random pictures of the kids in the hotel room. When Wes wears that outfit, we call him our Ninja Turtle :

Yeah, geese aren't friendly. I would stick to feeding ducks. Congrats Rebekah!
I can't believe how many geese there were!! We recently got attacked by some at the farm with Char, Ash and Dad--the hissing is freaky. Tyler didn't mind too much as long as the geese were after Ashley and nont him. good times!
Geese/ducks these days are gutsy! There were tons. Lacey seemed to do really well condidering they looked like they were about to pounce. Lots of fun. Congrats to Rebekah
