Disney with Rebs

While Rebekah came into town they had a sweet deal going on at Disneyland. All she had to do was show her military ID and she got a free 3-day pass. As we were pulling into the parking structure, we realized that we were ill-prepared for the heat. We were all wearing pants and no one had sunblock or hats. So the first stop was to buy hats for everybody. Buying hats at Disneyland is no drop in the bucket! On the upside, the cashier was super nice to the kids and gave them about 12 pins. A half dozen of the "Honorary Citizen" ones, a "1st Visit" one (those are the coolest because they have all of the original Disney characters i.e. Mickey and friends, on them), 3 of the new 2009 "I'm Celebrating" pins, 2 of the "Just Married" (which have Cinderella and Prince Charming on it), and 2 "Happily Ever After" pins for the not so newlyweds. Can you guess which ones my girls wanted to wear? Yep, the "Just Married" ones with Cinderella on it. For the rest of the day, just about every castmember stopped us and said, "you look a little young to be just married!" Even Handy Manny mimed the question (did you know they had Handy Manny? I didn't). Our favorite rides happened to be closed or the lines were too long (Small World and Dumbo) and the girls were not on their best behavior. As of late, my girls fight like cats and dogs. And the added bonus is that Lacy has been giving me lots of the neck-bobbing sassy attitude lately. About a hundred threats and tantrums later, we were able to do about 3 hours at the park. Not our best visit but we had a few redeeming moments that made it all worth it.

Both girls think all rides are too loud now.
